We are homeowners!!

Hello there!

Last night, we closed on our berkley home. Its great! There is some work to do in it before we show it off (like wash walls, paint, remove carpet, etc), but i think you will all love it as much as we do once it is done. Chris and I are really excited. He will start living there on Tuesday (thats when the internet and cable will be in) and I will move home with my parents when my lease expires in September, then move in after the wedding.

But if anyone wants to come over and help wash walls, etc. feel free to come over!!

Holy Crap. We are buying a house!!

Christopher and I close on our new home on Friday, July 28...AHHHH!!!

It's absolutely exhilarating and nerve wracking at the same time. I cannot wait to have the keys in my hand and start tearing apart the "country charm" decor and adding our own design elements.

Chris and I have big plans for the 1939 Berkley Brick Colonial... Including tearing down the wall between the kitchen and dining room, getting new cabinets, countertops and flooring in the kitchen and taking all the stuff we rip out of the other kitchen and using it to add a kitchen in the basement.

Suffice it to say, Chris and I need to learn how to be handy FAST. We have been watching HGTV for weeks straight trying to get a better understanding of design and what using a miter saw actually looks like.

Wish us luck. Chris and I are both clumsy, so we will need it. I'll post pictures when I get them!
